Haryana to reconstruct 34 bridges

 The Haryana government has decided to reconstruct 34 bridges and rehabilitate 65 bridges in the state during the year 2010-11. Work programme for reconstruction or rehabilitation of the bridges for the year 2010-11 has been approved.

Stating this here today, Public Works (B&R) Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said the 34 bridges would be reconstructed or constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 35.83 crore and 65 bridges would be rehabilitated at an estimated cost of over Rs 10.70 lakh. Of the total bridges to be reconstructed, two bridges would be reconstructed in Chandigarh circle, one in Gurgaon circle, 15 each in Kaithal and Jhajjar circle. Similarly, out of the total bridges to be rehabilitated, three would be rehabilitated in Ambala circle, two in Karnal circle, six in Chandigarh circle, one each in Rohtak and Bhiwani circle, eight in Gurgaon circle, two in Kaithal circle, six in Jhajjar circle, 31 in Rewari circle, five in Hisar circle, he added.
