A March Against VHP Bajrang Dal, Bhubneshwar

Akin to the 13th December, 2001 attack on Indian Parliament; 16th March, 2002 will always be remembered as a day of mayhem of democratic foundations, when lumpen elements of VHP/Bajrang Dal attacked Orissa Legislative Assembly in one of the most grotesque example of their fascist agenda.

With reference to our note of 20th March 2002, Indian Youth Congress has initiated a country-wide campaign to expose the evil design at ethnic cleansing of BJP with an eye on electoral arthmatic.

On 20th March, 2002, Shri Randeep singh surjewala, IYC President, AICC Secretary - Shri Chandan Bagchi, PCC Chief Shri Sarat Patnaik, PYC Chief and about 5,000 of youth activists and prominent citizens took out a 'March' demanding banning of VHP / Bajrang Dal through Bhubneshwar uptill the Governer's House where a protest rally was held.
