NEW POWER PROJECTS – MARCH FROM ‘POWER DEFICIENCY TO POWER SUFFICIENCY’
Haryana has total installed generation capacity of 4051.28 MW. Out of this, 1587.4 MW is located within the State of Haryana at the thermal power stations in Panipat and Faridabad and a small component at the hydro electro station at Yamuna Nagar.
QUALITY AND RELIABLE POWER – STRENGETHENING TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

Haryana has witnessed extensive violence and loss of lives of farmers in police firing over payment of electricity arrears. ‘Kandela Firing’ in Jind by the regime of Shri Om Prakash Chautala proved to be his final undoing. Successive effort to persuade the defaulters to pay the outstanding amount met with no success.
POWER – EMPOWER RURAL AREAS – ENSURING SUPPLY THROUGH SEGREGATION OF FEEDERS
Rural areas have traditionally suffered on account of erratic power supply, low voltage and frequent power cuts. Due to non-availability of sufficient power, restricted hours power supply is allowed to agriculture sector, resulting into restricted hours power supply to domestic rural consumers also.
