Drinking Water Pipeline in Kaithal City
- Since 15th August, 1947 upto February, 2005 : total drinking water pipeline laid in Kaithal City was 48 Kilometres only. Since Ist March, 2005 till date, 132.81 Kilometre long additional drinking water pipeline has been laid at a cost of Rs.815 lakh.
- In addition, 35000 feet (10.67 Kilometres) of Drinking Water pipeline is being laid presently at a cost of Rs.50 lakh.
Drinking Water Pipeline in Rural Areas of Kaithal Assembly Constituency

In different villages of Kaithal Assembly Constituency, 294170 feet (89.68 Kilometres) new drinking water pipeline has been laid since Ist March, 2005 till date at a cost of Rs.420.34 lakh.

In addition, 12600 feet (3.84 Kilometres) of Drinking Water pipeline is being laid presently at a cost of Rs.30 lakh.
Second Water Works for Kaithal City
After consistent demand for over 30 years, a second 'Water Works' for providing drinking water supply to Kaithal City has been completed in Balkuwali Gamri, Kaithal City at a cost of Rs.2,562.52 lakh with a capacity of 14 MLD (140 lakh litres per day). This ‘Water Works’ was dedicated to people by Haryana Chief Minister, Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kaithal MLA & Cabinet Minister, Randeep Singh Surjewala on 30-09-2012.
Completed works include construction of an inlet channel for drawing raw water by making provision for crossing the Railway Line, provision for 3 No. huge S.S. Tanks, 3 MGD filtration plant, extensive pumping machinery and chambers, suction well and other appurtenant works.

New Water Works In Villages Of Kaithal Assembly Constituency
Eight new Water Works have been constructed in Villages Ujhana, Kutubpur, Deora, Bhanpura, Chhot, Deodkheri, Guhna and Dunderheri. These Water Works have been constructed at a total cost of Rs.847.86 lakh and their details are:-

Augmentation of Water Works
- In the old Water Works of Kaithal City situated at Peoda Road, an additional tank has been added at a cost of Rs.85 lakh.
- In the Water Works of Village Mundri, existing pump chamber and boundary wall has been repaired. ‘Haudies’ have been repaired and CC approach road has been constructed besides undertaking appurtenant works. All this has been done at a cost of Rs.22.90 lakh.

- Water Works of Village Naina has been repaired afresh with a cost of Rs.22.35 lakh. This includes construction of a new RCC Inlet Channel, construction of CC approach road, repair of pump chamber, repair of boundary wall, repair of high level tank, bed lining of S/S tank and sides as also other appurtenant works.

- Water Works of Village Sajuma has been repaired at a cost of Rs.22.50 lakh. This includes lining of Bed of S/S tank as also sides, repair of pump chamber, laying of RCC slab of clean water tank, construction of CC road, one filter tank and other appurtenant works.

- Water Works of Village Sirta has been repaired at a cost of Rs.55.35 lakh. This includes laying of new pipelines, Bed lining of S/S tank, construction of a new CC approach road, plinth of S/S tank No.2, construction of a small portion of boundary wall and other appurtenant works.

New Tubewells in Kaithal Assembly Constituency
Drinking water is one of the key priorities and lifeline for people of any area. In order to augment existing water supply system, from March, 2005 till date; 97 tubewells have been set up in different villages of Kaithal Assembly Constituency at a cost of Rs.662.92 lakh. Similarly, 52 tubewells have been set up in the urban area of Kaithal City at a cost of Rs.299.50 lakh. Thus, a total of 149 new tubewells have been set up in the entire Kaithal Assembly Constituency at a total cost of Rs.962.42 lakh from March, 2005 till date.
Indira Gandhi Drinking Water Scheme
Under the land mark 'Indira Gandhi Drinking Water Scheme', 12,538 families have been given free drinking water connection with free 200 litre tank and a tap in all villages of Kaithal Assembly Constituency as also in Kaithal City at a cost of Rs.465.80 lakh. Out of these, 7,137 families (cost Rs.249.80 lakh) are in rural areas and 5,401 families (cost Rs.216 lakh) are in Kaithal City.
Submersible Pumps for Dringking Water
In order to facilitate drinking water supply, 514 submersible pumps have been installed in Kaithal City at a cost of Rs.215.90 lakh while 280 submersible pumps have been installed in villages at a cost of Rs.117.60 lakh since Ist March, 2005 till date. Total cost is Rs.333.50 lakh.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Machines For Drinking Water
In order to provide clean water in 12 villages of Kaithal Assembly Constituency having high fluoride content, 12 Reverse Osmosis (RO) machines have been set up a cost of Rs.136.80 lakh. Two similar RO machines, i.e. one each in two Scheduled Caste dominated wards of Kaithal City, i.e. Ward Nos. 20 and 31 have also been set up at a cost of Rs.22.80 lakh. Total cost incurred on setting up of these ROs is Rs.159.60 lakh.
Boosting Stations for Drinking Water
- In order to ensure supply of drinking water upto the highest point in City and as per directions of Kaithal MLA & Cabinet Minister, Randeep Singh Surjewala, 11 (Eleven) Boosting Stations have been set up at a cost of Rs.334.62 lakh. These Boosting Stations are situated at (i) Professor Colony, (ii) Devigarh, (iii) near Public Health offices, (iv) Jawahar Park, (v) R.K. Puram, (vi) Model Town, (vii) Chandana Gate, (viii) Ashoka Garden Colony, Karnal Road, (ix) Mata Gate, (x) Dogra Gate and (xi) Employees Colony..
- Two more Boosting Stations are at a cost of Rs.75 lakh each i.e. a total of Rs.150 lakh are under construction. These are (i) Ward No.18, Karnal Road and (ii) Deban Wali Gamri.
