Anti Terrorism Demonstration Outside Pakistan Embassy
Pakistan sponsored terrorists mowed down Amarnath Yatis and innocent citizens in State of Jammu & Kashmir at will while Central and State Governments watched on helplessly. As demanded by Hon'ble Congress President, Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Govt. is shying away from ordering a judicial enquiry into the murder of yatris many of whom died in the cross fire of security forces.
It is also a clear-cut case of political failure as Prime Minister and Home Minister failed to act despite intelligence reports of an imminent attack.
Led by IYC President, Mr. Randeep Singh Surjewala, Indian Youth Congress organised a demonstration on 5th August, 2000 at Pakistan Embassy with the demand that Pakistan should be declared a "Terrorist State" and demanding forthwith dismissal of the Home Minister. Rally was addressed by Shri Oscar Fernandes, General Secretary, AICC and Major Ved Prakash.
