BJP - NDA Govt.'s irresponsible act of appointement of corrupt

Anticipating inclusion of Shri George Fernandes in the Union Cabinet and to protest against appointment of tainted former BJP Chief Shri Bangaru Laxman as Chairman of Housing Committee, Indian Youth Congress held a flash demonstration on 14th October 2001. Police scuffled with Youth Congress workers. Mr. Randeep Singh Surjewala, President IYC, as also others were detained in Parliament Street Police Station and released later in the day.
