Farmer's show at Ludhiana, Punjab

We organised a massive "Farmer's show" at Ludhiana, Punjab on 24th January, 2001.

An important high point of the Rally was that we managed to invite senior Congress leadership i.e. Smt. Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Former Chief Minister, Shri Gurcharan Singh Ghalib, M.P., Shri Shamsher Singh Dullon, M.P., Shri Rakesh Pandey, our sole M.L.A. in Ludhiana, Shri H. Dawar, DCC President (Urban); Shri Harinder Singh Kalyan, Ex-M.P. and number of Former Ministers and M.L.A.'s on one stage a present united face of Congress party, particularly at a time when the crucial Majitha Bye-election was scheduled for 19th February, 2001

Besides dedicating themselves to the cause of farmers espoused and advocated by Hon'ble Congress President, Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Indian Youth Congress President, Shri. Randeep Singh Surjewala, along with senior leaders took a pledge to take on the might of Akali Dal (Badal) - BJP in the coming bye-election.
