IYC activists held a peaceful demonstration outside the residence of Pramod Mahajan
BJP and its leaders of the ilk of Pramod Mahajan and company once again transcended the ‘Laxman Rakha’ of minimum decorum and decency in public life by demanding that those born to parents of foreign origin should not be permitted to participate in National mainstream. With increased poll jitters plaguing BJP all over the country, its leaders continue to issue such defeatist statements.
Indian Youth Congress activists held a peaceful demonstration outside the residence of Shri Pramod Mahajan on 27th January, 2004 to protest against unwarranted attacks on the every edifice of plurality and multi-ethnicity of India. Inspired by their political masters, police resorted to unwarranted and unprovoked ‘Lathi Charge’ on our boys. IYC General Secretary, Shri Kuljeet Nagra was severely injured and got seven stitches on his forehead. IYC Secretary, Shri Pradeep Jaildar was also severely beaten up along with others. Twenty four of our boys were booked in a false case, arrested and detained for nearly 30 hours. Such diabolical tactics have never deterred us from carrying on our campaign. Your guidance and blessings has always encouraged us to fight such fascist elements.
