Jamnagar, Gujarat Rally

Gujarat has witnessed unchecked, collusive State sponsored violence with an eye on the upcoming Assembly polls. Narender Modi government has done its best to hide its failure of providing succour and relief to all sections, particularly victims of the earthquake as also farmers by donning the mask of communalism.

Saurashtra, one of the biggest regions of the State dependent primarily on agriculture, has seen gross neglect and discrimination at the hands of the State Government. With a view to expose the Government's discriminatory mindset, Youth Congress held a massive rally at Jamnagar on 24th June, 2002. Besides Shri. Randeep Singh Surjewala, rally was addressed by PCC Chief, PYC Chief and a host of senior most leaders. At the conclusion of the rally, we marched to the Commissioner's office and presented a charter of demands enumerating pitiable conditions prevailing in whole of Saurashtra.
