'Jan Chetna Rally' Alwar, Rajasthan

Alwar, Rajasthan was the venue of our another massive 'Jan Chetna Rally' on 25th March, 2003. Thousands of youth, farmers, women and farm labourers turned up in large numbers to endorse our call for a final battle against the anti-youth, anti-farmer BJP government in Delhi.

Besides Pointing out the maliciously discriminatory treatment meted our to State of Rajasthan by vajpayee Government, we particularly highlighted the fact that Congress Party and State Government have gone out of way to provide succor during last four years of successive drought. 'Food for Work' programme initiated in each block, construction / pavement of 180 kms of road in each Assembly Constituency, creation of 40,000 jobs by setting up 'Rajiv Gandhi Pathshalas' and production of 1,000 Megawatts of electricity are some of the important feathers in the cap of Rajasthan government.

In addition to IYC President, Sh. Randeep Singh Surjewala, national office bearers of IYC and PYC Chief, Rally was addressed by senior Congress leaders including Shri Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister; Shri Natwar Singh, Member, CWC; Shri Mukul Wasnik, General Secretary, AICC; Smt. Grija Vyas, PCC Chief and a number of senior ministers and legislators.
