‘Jan Chetna Rally’ at Bharatpur, Haryana

Recently, BJP has launched a state wide false campaign in Rajasthan using misleading statistics to bring out lack of performance on part of government in key sectors like employment, agriculture, power generation and reforms, roads etc. . Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Om Prakash Chautala has also launched his campaign declaring wife of BJP M.P from Bharatpur, Sh. Vishwinder Bahadur Singh to be his party’s Chief Ministerial candidate in an overt bid to woo the farming community.

We utilized the ‘Jan Chetna Rally’ held at Bharatpur on 15th September, 2003 to decisively expose the anti-youth – anti-farmer face of BJP and Chautala’s Lok Dal. We pointed out the paralyzing attack on employment and agricultural sectors in BJP’s four and a half years regime – cutting down jobs, selling off profit making PSU’s for a pittance, rising deficits and public debt, cutting down subsidies on agriculture and gradually demolishing the very edifice of procurement mechanism built so painstakingly over the years by the Congress. We also brought out the extensive atrocities, police firing and brutalities committed by Sh. Chautala in his own state of Haryana.

Besides the IYC President, Sh. Randeep Singh Surjewala, PYC Chief and IYC office bearers, rally was addressed by Sh. Mohammad Mahir Azad, M.L.A; Sh. Yashwant Singh Ramu, Sh. R.P. Sharma, M.L.A; DCC President and a number of senior functionaries.
