Kashmir - Heaven Turned into Hell

Lambasting the unholy National Conference - BJP government for its failure to protect national security or to check secessionist elements and terrorists leading to displacement of lakhs of Kashmiris from the valley and border areas, Youth Congress conducted a 'Rally cum Protest March' at Jammu on 6th November, 2001 leading to arrest of IYC President Mr. Randeep Singh Surjewala, State Youth Congress President and a large number of activists.

We particularly pointed out that corruption has reached its nadir and Vajpayee govt. has miserably failed in formulation of any consistent or cohesive policy on Jammu and Kashmir with a view to provide succor to people of state who are victims of worse ever cross border terrorism in the world. It was also highlighted that National Conference's brand of autonomy is really a latent attempt to trifurcate the state into various regions on communal lines and vowed that Congress Party will never let it happen as advocated by Hon'ble Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi on more then one occasion.
