Kisan Naujawan Rally, Ghaziabad

With a view to mobilize mass public opinion, Youth Congress held a "KISAN NAUJAWAN RALLY" at Ghaziabad on 3rd December, 2001 to highlight the growing disenchantment of farming community and farm labourers with the anti-poor and anti-farmer BJP regime in Uttar Pradesh.

Not only did the Youth Congress volunteers and farmers enthusiastically participate in the rally but a consensus also emerged with regard to draconian policies of BJP vis-à-vis prices of farm inputs, unavavailability of power and water for irrigation and abrogation of the 'Minimum Support Price' structure set in motion since Independence by successive Congress Governments. This gives a glimpse of people and youth of India widely supporting Indian Youth Congress.

Besides, Smt. Mohsina Kidwai, Mr. Oscar Fernandes, General Secretaries of AICC; Mr. Anil Shastri, Secretary of AICC; IYC President, Shri Randeep Singh Surjewala and the State President, a galaxy of State leaders participated in Rally.
