Massive Rally at Pushkar, Distt. Ajmer, Rajasthan
Rajasthan is among the four states going to poll this year. Rajasthan has also seen the worst drought of the century with Central Government pursuing a policy of conspiratorial discrimination in granting pittance of drought relief as against over Rs. 6,700 crores demanding by the state government. Moreover, agriculture, sole avocation of livelihood, has suffered on account of drought coupled with unprecedented increase in the cost of all inputs.
To expose this calculated conspiracy of BJP and allies to hit at the rural agricultural economy of the country in general and agrarian State of Rajasthan in particular, we have launched an aggressive grassroots campaign in shape of Divisional level 'Chetna Rallies' farmers, ruralities and youth.
We started our campaign by holding a massive rally at Pushkar (Land of Lord Brahma - the Creator), Distt. Ajmer, Ajmer Division on 11th February, 2003. Thousands of youth, farmers and poor enthusiastically participated. We gave a clarion call to oust BJP to save the villages and our primary profession - agriculture besides highlighting the achievements of our government. Besides IYC President, Sh. Randeep Singh Surjewala and PYC Chief, senior leaders including Pachayati Rraj Minister, Sh. Govind Singh Gujjar; Dr. K. C. Chaudhary, MLA; Sh. Babulal Singaria, MLA; Sh. Hazu Kayum Khan, MLA, DCC Presidents and others attended.
