Procurement Policy - Demonstration at Karnal, Haryana

Youth Congress exposed the indifferent ‘Procurement Policy’ of Govt. of India as also complete failure of Chautala Govt. to procure ‘paddy’ and ‘Maize’ crops at ‘Minimum Support Price’ of Rs. 560 and Rs. 450 per quintal respectively through a massive rally held at Karnal in Haryana on 9th October, 2001 – heartland of the paddy belt. Besides IYC President Mr. Randeep Singh Surjewala and State Youth Congress President, rally was addressed by senior Congress leaders and former ministers Shri Tejinder Pal Mann, kanwar Ram Pal Singh, Shri Jai Singh Rana and others.
