State sponsored criminalisation of politics in Haryana

A new brand of State sponsored terror and criminalisation of politics, so identifiable with Om Prakash Chautala's previous track record, has been unleashed in Haryana. Recent spate of murders, extortion, dacoities and en-block remission of sentences of convicted hardcore criminals by state cabinet has vitiated the atmosphere with poorer sections, city dwellers and trading community living life in shadow of fear.

To meet the situation head-on and expose the fascist and anti-youth agenda of Lok Dal - BJP coalition govt., Youth Congress has launched a series of state wide agitational programmes under the personal directions of IYC President, Sh Randeep Singh Surjewala.

Youth Congress held three major demonstrations i.e. at Yamunagar on 19.9.2001, at Sonepat on 22.9.2001 and at Kaithal on 24.9.2001.

Shri Randeep Singh Surjewala along with PYC President and thousands of youth activists marched through the streets of Distt. Headquarters, held rallies and submitted memorandums.
