Young Farmer's Agitation, Meerut, UP - 2001

Meerut was the venue of our agitation in Western Uttar Pradesh on 18th Dec. 2001 to highlight the discriminatory treatment meted out in terms of all round development vis-à-vis Western Uttar Pradesh.

Demanding rolling back of prices of diesel, kerosene oil and fertilizers; review of policy of making category 'C' appointments as also examination of Primary teachers; review of the pre-announced policy to abrogate the 'Minimum Support Price' structure put in place by the Congress Governments and immediate stoppage of persecution of minority community in the name of enforcement of draconian laws like POTO; Youth Congress held a Rally and took out a procession submitting a Memorandum demanding dismissal of Rajnath Singh led anti-people BJP Government in state.
