'Young Farmer's Rally', Rajaund, Kaithal, Haryana
We at, Indian Youth Congress, have initiated a nation wide movement on core issues relating to youth, farming community and economic - political - social well being of poorest of the poor.
We held a massive 'young Farmer's Rally' in traditional Chautala bastion at Rajaund, Distt. Kaithal, Haryana on 8th February, 2003.
Thousands of enthusiastic youth and farmers converged at the rally joinging in our chorus daring Chautala to withdraw support from BJP led NDA government for its anti-youth, anti-farmer policies. We highlighted the factum of inhumane increase in prices of Diesel (increased to Rs. 20.07 per liter as compared to Rs. 8.50 during Congress regime), Kerosene Oil (increased to Rs. 10.50 per liter ass compared to Rs. 2 during Congress regime), Urea (increased from Rs. 133 from Rs. 335 during Congress regime), pesticides, seeds, electricity, irrigation charges etc. We also highlighted the anti-farmer stance of NDA government in selling principle oil companies i.e. BPCL and HPCL.
