‘Yuva Chetna Rally’, Bhilwara, Rajasthan
Gangapur Chowk (Bhilwara, Rajasthan), central rural belt of Mewar region was the vinue of ‘yuva Chetna Rally’ of Youth Congress on 22nd October 2003.
Thousands of farmers, women and youth overwhelmed us by their response and support. We particularly pointed out the diabolical conspiracy of Government of India in designedly demolishing the very edifice of agricultural economy of the country of the country i.e. ‘Minimum Support price Mechanism’ as well as ‘Administered Price Mechanism’ for petro-products. We particularly compared the prices of agricultural inputs to reflect the exorbitant increase in prices of Diesel (from Rs. 8.50 per Liter in 1996 during Congress regime to nearly Rs. 22 now), kerosene Oil (from Rs. 2 per liter in 1996 to Rs. 10 per liter now), urea (Rs. 133 per bag in 1996 to Rs. 242 now), DAP (Rs. 345 per bag in 1996 to Rs. 450 now) etcetera.
Besides the IYC President, Shri Randeep Singh Surjewala, rally was addressed by Rattan lal Tambi, Minister; Shri Ram Lal Jat, MLA and other senior leaders of the party.
