Yuva Kranti Rally - Jhajjar, Haryana

Thousands of youth activists from every nook and corner of Haryana converged at 'Yuva Kranti Rally', Jhajjar, Haryana on 7th November, 2001 and vowed to upstage the corruption tainted NDA govt. at the center and criminally autocratic Chautala - BJP combine in Haryana.

We particularly highlighted the fact that unabated state sponsored criminalisation of social fabric and naked persecution of political opponents will acquire dangerous proportions in hands of dictatorial ruler like Shri Chautala vested with absolute powers in shape of proposed POTO legislation. Youth Congress also demanded immediate withdrawal of heavy doses of urban taxation in shape of house Tax, imposition of tax by prescribing a charge on health thereby denying basic health services for even the most downtrodden sections of society including women and children, enblock replacement of estimated 35 lakh electricity meters resulting into a burden of a few hundred crores on gullible consumers, complete freeze on recruitment by the state subordinate services selection board and public service commission, enblock termination of govt. employees particularly in category III and IV.

Besides IYC President, Sh. Randeep Singh Surjewala, Shri Oscar Fernandes, General Secretary, AICC and a number of legislators and senior congressmen addressed the boys asking them to stand up to the tyrannical order.
