SETTING NEW PRECEDENTS: INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF SITTINGS OF THE ASSEMBLY.

Special emphasis is laid for new members to contribute effectively and have sufficient time in debates and deliberations of the Legislative Assembly. This has gone a long way in restoring the healthy parliamentary practices and majesty of the Assembly.

It may be noted that from March, 2000 upto February, 2005 i.e. for nearly five years; Haryana Legislative Assembly met only for 66 days. Since the formation of Congress government in March, 2005 upto March, 2008 i.e. a period of three years; Assembly has met for 56 days and conducted deliberations for a period of 214 hours and 35 minutes.
